Purchasing linens, particularly on Amazon, is always a gamble. I am very particular about my linens, but currently, we are in the process of building a home and temporarily living in an RV. As a result, we spend much more time outdoors, and consequently, we track more dirt inside. I own three sets of SDH Legna sheets and cannot express how much I appreciate them and enjoy sleeping on them. However, I cannot justify using them in our RV, fearing that the extra dirt will degrade the material. Therefore, I have stored the Legna sheets safely away until we move into our permanent home.In the meantime, I sought an alternative. Initially, I purchased two sets of bamboo sheets on Amazon, but I quickly regretted choosing white. Given our off-grid living situation and spending 95% of my time outside, white sheets proved impractical. When I attempted to repurchase the same set in a different color, I discovered another set significantly cheaper and available in black. I took a chance and bought the set, which were these sheets, hoping it would match the quality of the ones I paid twice as much for, and I was not disappointed. These sheets are generously sized, fitting a standard mattress with an additional 4-inch mattress pad on top. They are very soft and maintain their softness after each wash. The downside to this fabric, if you don't know, is that they do generally tend to show wrinkles. If that is bothersome to you, find another fabric as it's likely going to drive you bonkers.I chose black to hide the dirt between weekly washes, as I cannot tolerate dirty linens. While I prefer to wash them daily, opting for a black set helps me maintain my sanity in this situation. I was pleasantly surprised by the price and advise others to check every color option for a product they are considering. The black set was about one-third the price of other colors, so flexibility in color choices can be financially beneficial. I also recommend watching for coupons, as I managed to secure this set at an excellent price, which became even more attractive with the coupon applied. If you seek soft and high-quality sheets, avoid microfiber altogether. Microfiber not only snags on dry skin but also stifles airflow throughout the night, often resulting in waking up sweaty if you tend to run hot. Bamboo/modal from rayon is always soft and highly breathable, making polyester pale in comparison. I am particular about fabrics and materials, but I will always endorse bamboo or any rayon blend. I am still amazed at how affordable it is compared to fabrics like Legna. For instance, a set of Legna sheets typically costs around $600 for a king-size flat and fitted set, whereas these bamboo sheets cost a mere fraction of that price, making them an incredibly affordable alternative for those who cannot afford the best. I will keep my three existing sets of Legna sheets, but I refuse to pay such a high price for linens now that I know there is an alternative that offers similar quality without the exorbitant cost. Bamboo has become my new favorite fabric, and I will consistently advocate for it, but especially as a summer fabric given how much it saves me from overheating. I highly recommend these, but make sure whatever you're buying is a 100% bamboo, and NOT a bamboo/poly blend.
